Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 July 2026
SysPad is a free, personal, non-commercial hobby project: a browser-based tool for designing and simulating cloud architectures. There is no company behind it. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool.
1. What SysPad is
SysPad lets you place representative components on a canvas, connect them, configure them, and run a lightweight discrete simulation that approximates throughput, latency, utilisation, bottlenecks, and monthly cost. It is a design-time thinking and learning aid. It does not provision, connect to, monitor, or interact with any real cloud account or infrastructure.
2. Estimates only - no warranty of accuracy
The simulation uses simplified capacity, queueing, and pricing models and a dated, region-scaled pricing snapshot (not live pricing). As a result, all outputs are approximations intended for design-time intuition and comparison between options. In particular, they are not:
- billing-accurate cost forecasts, quotes, or commitments;
- guaranteed throughput, latency, availability, or capacity figures;
- a substitute for real load testing, benchmarking, or a provider's own calculators;
- professional, financial, or engineering advice.
Real-world results will differ, sometimes significantly. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any figure before relying on it, and for any decision you make using the tool.
3. Provided "as is"
SysPad is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its outputs will be correct.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SysPad and its maintainer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of - or inability to use - SysPad or any reliance on its outputs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because SysPad is free, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.
5. Your content
Diagrams you create are stored locally in your browser and are not uploaded to us (see the Privacy Policy). You retain ownership of what you create. You are responsible for the content of your diagrams and for anything you choose to export or share (for example via a share link, which encodes the diagram in the URL). Do not use the tool for unlawful purposes or to store or share content you do not have the right to.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its hosted API/MCP endpoints, and do not exceed documented rate or size limits. We may rate-limit, restrict, or discontinue access to protect the service.
7. Third-party names and trademarks
SysPad models and references third-party products and services (for example Amazon Web Services and AWS service names, Cloudflare, Stripe, and others). All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and illustrative purposes only. SysPad is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Amazon, AWS, or any other named provider. The components shown are simplified representations, not the actual services, and their behaviour in SysPad does not reflect any provider's real performance, pricing, or SLAs.
8. Changes
We may update the tool and these terms from time to time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. A hobby project
SysPad is a personal, non-commercial hobby project offered for free, with no company behind it and no formal support channel. There is no guarantee of support, updates, or continued availability, and it may change or be discontinued at any time.
